1. What Advisor is
Advisor is an AI planning assistant built to help transfer students organize questions, compare options, and think through transfer timelines, credits, school choices, costs, scholarships, housing, and next steps.
Advisor can explain concepts in plain language, suggest general planning steps, and help you prepare better questions for official offices or qualified professionals.
2. What Advisor is not
Advisor is not a licensed academic counselor, admissions officer, attorney, financial advisor, tax advisor, medical professional, mental health professional, landlord, broker, scholarship sponsor, school official, or government service.
Advisor does not guarantee admission, financial aid, scholarships, housing availability, course equivalency, graduation timing, transfer credits, deadlines, or eligibility outcomes.
3. Use official sources
Before making a decision, confirm important information with the official college, university, scholarship sponsor, government agency, housing provider, or other source responsible for that decision. This matters especially for deadlines, tuition, fees, aid, graduation requirements, transfer credits, residency, leases, safety, and eligibility.
4. How prompts are processed
To answer you, Advisor may process your question and selected TransferTrack context. Context may include your current school, target school, major, start term, route details, course context, and recent messages needed to generate a useful answer.
Do not submit Social Security numbers, passwords, financial account numbers, medical details, immigration documents, government IDs, or anything you would not want processed by an AI system.
5. Advisor analytics
TransferTrack does not store the contents of your Advisor messages in a form linked to you. The records we keep to operate Advisor, such as message counts, timestamps, plan tier, usage limits, and reliability metrics, are anonymized and cannot be traced back to your name, email, or account. They help us improve Advisor, enforce fair-use limits, and keep the feature sustainable. TransferTrack does not use your prompts to train AI models.
6. Chat history
Your full Advisor chat history is stored only on your device. TransferTrack does not store the contents of your messages on its servers in a form linked to you. The records we keep to operate Advisor are anonymized and cannot be traced back to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Safety
Do not use Advisor for emergencies, urgent safety decisions, self-harm support, medical care, legal deadlines, or financial decisions that require a licensed professional. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact emergency services or a qualified professional.
8. Limits and fair use
The free tier currently includes 5 Advisor messages per month. TransferTrack Pro currently includes up to 100 Advisor messages per month as a fair-use limit. We may adjust limits, block abusive use, or temporarily restrict Advisor if needed to protect the Service.
9. Feedback and reports
If Advisor gives an unsafe, inaccurate, biased, or confusing answer, email support@transfertrack.org. Reports help us improve prompts, safety rules, and product behavior.
